The Challenge
 
Gentoo relies on strong communication to support 60,000 customers and a largely dispersed workforce. When Workplace announced its closure, the organisation needed a trusted alternative, and fast. Workplace had become central during the pandemic, and losing it risked weakening connection, especially among frontline teams. The new platform needed to feel familiar, be simple to adopt, and support a growing digital ecosystem without overwhelming colleagues already navigating several new systems.

Why Gentoo chose Work Networks

Work Networks offered the perfect balance of usability, housing sector understanding and genuine partnership. Weekly planning sessions and a structured, people-first rollout meant the entire transition, from contract signing in April to go-live early August, was smooth and stress-free. Gentoo’s IT team found the migration effortless, and communications colleagues described it as “the easiest project we ran this year”.
